Most plastic in the sea never came from a boat. It came from rivers and coastlines in places without waste collection. 1ClickImpact, the impact partner we already use for our tree cause, works with Plastic Bank, which pays collectors in coastal communities in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Egypt and Brazil to gather that plastic before it reaches the water.
SevinHub organises this cause ourselves, the same way as our tree cause. Your gift is spent on plastic collection through the partner, and the proof comes back here: for every batch we fund, we post the partner's certificate on this page with the weight collected and the country. Nothing is taken from your gift for salaries, overhead or a platform fee. If you choose to add a tip, it goes to running CauseHub and is shown separately on your receipt.
What the money will pay for
Collection of ocean-bound plastic through our verified partner. We promise at least 1 pound (450 g) of plastic collected for every euro you give, after the payment provider's processing cost (or the full amount if you choose to cover it). Nothing is kept for costs. We post each certificate on this page within 30 days of the money arriving, with the weight and the collection country.
