Fees and open books
We take nothing from your gift. Here is exactly what a donation costs, who gets what, and what we earn.
What a donation costs
The payment provider charges a processing fee on every payment. We pass it on at cost, show it before you pay, and you can choose to cover it so the cause receives your full gift.
| Payment method | Processing cost | On a €40 gift |
|---|---|---|
| Bancontact | €0.35 | €0.35 |
| iDEAL | Wero | €0.29 | €0.29 |
| Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay | 1.5% + €0.25 | €0.85 |
| SEPA bank debit | €0.35 | €0.35 |
Standard cards from the European Economic Area. Premium, UK and non-EU cards cost up to 3.15% + €0.25 plus 2% currency conversion. Rates from Stripe's published Belgian pricing.
Who gets what
- The cause receives your gift, minus the processing cost unless you covered it.
- CauseHub receives only the optional tip, if you chose one. It starts at zero and is never pre-selected. We pay the processing cost of the tip ourselves, so a tip never costs the cause anything.
- Platform fee on donations: 0%. Permanently written into our terms.
How we earn a living
Optional tips, and in time paid tools for companies and organisations: giving pages for churches and charities, employee giving and impact reports for companies. We never sell data, never charge causes to be shown higher, and never take a commission from creators' fundraising.
