Short answers to what people ask most. Still stuck? Write to admin@sevinhub.com and a person answers.
For donors
Where does my money go?
Straight to the organiser's own verified Stripe account. Stripe is the licensed payment provider that processes the payment. CauseHub never holds your gift; only the optional tip, if you choose one, comes to us.
What does giving cost?
Stripe charges a processing cost on every payment, depending on the payment method. It is shown before you pay, and you can choose to cover it so the cause receives your full gift. Our platform fee is 0%. All rates are on fees and open books.
Do I need an account?
No. You only give an email address for your receipt, for refunds, and for one email when the organiser posts a receipt or delivery (you can stop those with one tap). It is never used for marketing.
Where is my receipt?
After paying you see a link to your private receipt page, and we email it to you. Keep it: it shows exactly what you paid and it is where you ask for a refund.
Can I get my money back?
You can ask for a refund within 30 days from your private receipt page. A person reviews every request, and refunds always go back to the original payment method.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Only when the cause page says so. That label only appears for organisations on the official list of recognised institutions, and the certificate then comes from that organisation. In Belgium, gifts of at least 40 euro a year to one recognised institution give a tax reduction of 30%. Gifts to individuals are never tax deductible.
Can the organiser see who I am?
On CauseHub you can hide your name from the organiser, and your name only appears publicly if you choose that. Because the payment goes to the organiser's own Stripe account, Stripe still shows them the email and card name you enter on the payment page. Your email is never shown on CauseHub.
How do I know a cause is real?
A person reviews every cause before it goes live. Badges show what was checked: identity verified, verified creator or registered organisation. Organisers must post receipts or deliveries within 60 days of receiving money, and you can see them on the cause page and on the proof wall. If something looks wrong, report it.
For organisers
Who can start a cause?
Individuals, companies and registered charities based in the European Union and the European Economic Area, for now. The cause itself can help people anywhere, within the rules on what can be funded.
What does it cost me?
Nothing from us. Stripe's processing cost is deducted from each gift unless the donor chose to cover it.
How do I get paid?
From your dashboard you connect a Stripe account through Stripe's own secure pages, where you confirm your identity and bank account. Gifts then settle in that account and are paid out to your bank on Stripe's schedule.
How long does review take?
Usually within 2 working days. A person reads every cause. If something needs to change, you get an email saying exactly what.
How much can I raise?
Up to 10,000 euro per cause for now. Larger causes will open once milestone payouts are available, releasing money step by step against proof.
What do I have to post?
A receipt or delivery with a photo or scan within 60 days of receiving money, and a final update when the cause ends. Cover personal details before you upload. If a picture was made or changed with AI, tick the AI box so it shows the AI label.
Privacy and safety
What do you keep about me?
Only what giving and running causes needs. The privacy policy lists every field, why we keep it and for how long.
How do I report a cause?
Use report a problem, or the link at the bottom of every cause page. A person reviews every report, and decisions are published in our transparency report.
I found a security problem.
